The Hub
In 2020 we were awarded grant funding to build a structure at the garden to be used as a shelter, meeting place, classroom, or venue.

The structure is a wooden frame supporting a wood and polycarbonate roof. It has three large entrances with cob and stone surrounds and recycled glass bottle windows. The walls have been constructed by volunteers using traditional cob or wattle and daub methods.

This is a community project open to anybody that would like to get involved and learn how to build with these traditional techniques and materials.
The wildlife pond
In 2022 we added a second, much larger pond to our garden and have since seen a wonderful uptick in wildlife at Rosamund, including ducks, diving beetles, and dragonflies (we're eagerly waiting for some newts!).

This wildlife helps us keep pests under control naturally, pollinate plants, and provides much-needed drinking water for insects and mammals.

The wildlife pond is an ongoing community project and we invite volunteers to help us maintain it.
Supporting pollinators
Supporting pollinators at Rosamund Community Garden is a project without an end.

From the wildlife pond and orchard to our vegetable beds, we invite volunteers to help us make nesting and food habitats for vital pollinators like bees, butterflies, bats, birds, moths, and other small mammals.
